Bayern Munich Bundesliga winners postpone championship festivities in pursuit of treble

Bayern overturned a one goal deficit to defeat Stuttgart 4-2 securing an unbeatable 15 point advantage over runners up Borussia Dortmund with only four matches left.

Although pictures of team members running around the pitch with oversized beer mugs are a hallmark of Bayerns near yearly triumphs the side has put off the partying due to Wednesdays German Cup semi final clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern have also advanced to the Champions League semi finals where they will take on the defending champions Paris Saint Germain.

Luis Diaz provided two assists and Jamal Musiala contributed one during the opening 45 minutes yet both were withdrawn at the interval in preparation for the seasons closing stages.

"I believe it is on its way yes it is on its way," Musiala shared with DAZN regarding the customary beer dousing ritual.

"We are organising a full scale event most likely at the final home fixture.

"We head directly to the locker room. Nothing major is happening at present but certainly for the concluding match."

Bayern forward Harry Kane who has collected two Bundesliga crowns and a Supercup since arriving at the Bavarian powerhouse in 2023 noted that the revelry would taste better alongside additional trophies.

"I feel it remains vital to mark the occasion and I shall do so alongside my relatives mates and the squad in the players lounge though it differs somewhat from the previous year.

"We lacked involvement in further contests so we could fully indulge in a grand evening as a group.

"That may not occur immediately but we will carve out the moment... For the time being we savour this evening yet naturally the complete concentration shifts to Wednesday."

Prior to kick off Bayern manager Vincent Kompany remarked to DAZN "We have reached a point this campaign where everyone is fine with holding off on the festivities a touch longer."

Post match Kompany shifted focus to the remaining prizes up for grabs.

"We have endured minimal defeats this term. Numerous achievements lie within reach. We travel to Leverkusen. We understand it is a contest and outcomes are unpredictable," Kompany stated.

"Yet we possess the conviction to succeed. That holds immense value in the sport."

Joshua Kimmich who led as skipper with Manuel Neuer benched commended the teams dominant championship retention but cautioned competitors that the Bavarian powerhouse has more ambitions.

"The manner in which we claimed the title stood out. We have seldom triumphed with such steadiness and assurance as this season.

"However we retain several objectives for the campaign."
