AGF drawn against Niels Frederiksen's Lech Poznan in Champions League qualifying

AGF were drawn against Polish champions Lech Poznan during the draw ceremony held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, on Wednesday.

As an unseeded side in the draw, the Danish champions faced one of the strongest possible opponents in the Polish title holders.

Lech Poznan, managed by Danish coach Niels Frederiksen, secured their second consecutive league title last season and their tenth overall.

AGF ended a 40 year wait to become Danish champions. Jacob Poulsen's side will host the first leg on 21 or 22 July, with the return leg in Poland on 28 or 29 July.

AGF need to win three rounds in the qualifying phase to reach the highly lucrative league stage of the Champions League.

If AGF are defeated by Lech Poznan, they will have another opportunity in the Europa League qualifying rounds.
