Iraqi international wins Danish Goal of the Year award with stunning long range strike

Throughout the season, the Danish Superliga chooses and honours a Månedens Mål (Goal of the Month). At the conclusion of the season, the leading contenders are gathered, and the winner is determined through a public or SMS fan vote.

The goal is judged based on its technique, difficulty, and aesthetic appeal, rather than its significance.

Kevin Yakob, who remarkably suffered two cruciate knee ligament injuries before making a comeback this season to win the Danish championship with AGF, netted the first goal for AGF in their 5-2 win against Viborg on 22 February. He did so by unleashing a stunning curling shot from distance, outside the penalty area, straight into the top corner.

OB's Fiete Arp and Franculino Djú finished second and third in the voting, respectively.
