Ex FC Copenhagen manager Neestrup set to take over from Rafa Benitez at Panathinaikos

Panathinaikos dismissed Spanish manager Rafa Benitez on 24 May after only seven months at the helm, concluding his tenure with the Greek club. Benitez, who previously managed Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC, joined the Athens based team in October on a two and a half year deal.
Under his leadership, Panathinaikos secured fourth place in the Greek Super League and reached the Europa League last 16. Neestrup, who was let go by FC Copenhagen two months ago, boasts an impressive record including two Danish league titles, two domestic cup wins, and a Champions League knockout stage appearance.
