Ajax to begin Conference League qualifying against Ferencvaros or Vojvodina Novi Sad

Ajax experienced a dreadful 2025-26 campaign, finishing fifth with their joint-lowest points tally since 1962 (56). The Amsterdam club appointed former Girona manager Míchel as their new head coach at the start of June.

Serbia's Vojvodina Novi Sad ended last season as runners-up in the Serbian Super Liga, trailing champions Crvena Zvezda by ten points but finishing three points clear of third-placed Partizan.

Ferencvaros had claimed the Hungarian NB I title seven times in a row from 2019 to 2025, but they lost last season's championship to ETO FC from Györ, who secured their first title since 2013. Ferencvaros missed out on the final day, ending one point behind ETO FC.

Vojvodina Novi Sad and Ferencvaros will face each other on July 9th and 16th, with the Serbian side hosting the first leg. The loser of that tie will meet Ajax on July 23rd and 30th, while the winner will take on FC Twente in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League on the same dates.
