They will face a comparable All-Star selection from Mexico's LIGA MX in Charlotte on 29 July, where Mbokazi could encounter some of the opponents he will compete against in the opening match of the 2026 World Cup in Mexico City on 11 June.

Mbokazi will line up alongside United States centre-back Tim Ream at the core of the defence in the All-Star team, and will be joined in the starting eleven by Messi, Son and his Fire team-mate Hugo Cuypers.
