Mbappe keeps Real Madrid Player of the Season award after scoring 42 goals this campaign

The France international produced outstanding figures, finishing as La Liga's top scorer with 25 goals and claiming the Golden Boot for the second consecutive year. 

He also led the Champions League scoring charts with 15 goals. In all competitions, he recorded 42 goals and seven assists from 44 appearances, contributing directly on 49 occasions. 

However, his success comes amid rising tension at the Santiago Bernabeu, with fans expressing their displeasure during a season without trophies for the club.

Since joining Real Madrid on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, he has notched 86 goals and 12 assists in 103 matches.

On the international stage, Mbappe has been selected by Didier Deschamps for the upcoming 2026 World Cup, where he will aim to build on his legacy and close in on all-time tournament records.
