Jamie Vardy will depart Italian club Cremonese when his contract ends in June. Vardy, who turns 40 in January, netted seven times and set up three goals in 29 Serie A matches this campaign, but was unable to prevent Cremonese from being relegated.

The BBC reported that Vardy "still enjoys his football" and is keen to continue playing at a high level elsewhere. Robin van Persie's Feyenoord are reportedly one of the clubs pursuing Vardy, who was also linked with a move to the Rotterdam side last summer.

Vardy left Leicester City last summer after a historic 13 year stint that saw the striker win an improbable Premier League title in 2016. Vardy scored 200 goals in 500 appearances for the Foxes, who were relegated to League One after Vardy's departure.
