Wolves manager Rob Edwards concedes that certain players must depart after dismal campaign

Early strikes in the first five minutes by Jack Hinshelwood and Lewis Dunk, plus a late goal from Yankuba Minteh, proved sufficient to defeat Wolves as they falter towards the close of the season.

The team at the foot of the Premier League, whose drop to the Sky Bet Championship was sealed last month, are merely completing their remaining fixtures before facing a challenging summer transfer period.

Evidently, the Wolves roster, demoted well in advance, lacks full commitment in their leftover matches, prompting Edwards to forecast a significant squad overhaul in the upcoming months.

"It is deeply frustrating, it seemed as though we were lingering in our comfortable accommodation during those initial five minutes," Edwards remarked post match. "The opening was dreadful."

“We were trailing 1-0 without barely touching the ball, and the defence on that corner was appalling. Several individuals failed in their duties. Being two goals behind after just five minutes against a superior side leaves you with almost no hope.”

Wolves prepare for extensive departures

Regarding whether he has lost faith in parts of his team prior to their relegation to the Championship:

"Yes, absolutely. A number of them need to leave, we sit at the bottom of the table. It has been humiliating. They must depart. We have two games left, so endure it, stay focused, accept what comes in the next fortnight, and then we can start rebuilding. We anticipate substantial alterations."

Wolves still lack an away league triumph this season, suffering their 13th loss from 18 road encounters for a group eyeing the future campaign.
