Tottenhams Premier League Season Plagued by Knee Injuries Outnumbering Home Victories

Tottenham Hotspur are facing one of the toughest seasons in their modern era, dominated by a worrying series of knee problems.

The most recent addition to the injury list is Xavi Simons, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament on 25 April during Tottenhams victory over Wolves, adding to the teams ongoing difficulties on the field.

This incident is not unique. Wilson Odobert picked up the identical injury on 10 February, and Radu Dragusin suffered an ACL tear in late December 2025.

They are accompanied by James Maddison, who got injured on 2 May 2025, along with Cristian Romero, who has been absent since 12 April due to a knee issue that will sideline him until June.

Additionally, Dejan Kulusevski has been managing a major knee injury from 11 May 2025, with no expected return before May 2026.

The overall scenario is grim: Tottenham have experienced more knee injuries than home triumphs this Premier League season. The team has secured only two home wins so far, the initial one against Burnley by 3-0 on 16 August 2025, and the next coming on matchday 15 with a 2-0 win versus Brentford on 6 December. In 2026, Spurs have not yet achieved a league victory at home.

Apart from the knee troubles, the medical department has seen steady traffic from various other ailments. Pape Matar Sarr is recovering from a shoulder problem, Ben Davies from an ankle injury, Mohammed Kudus from a thigh concern, Destiny Udogie from a muscle issue, and Guglielmo Vicario has had hernia surgery.
