Tottenham Demands Police Response to 'Disgusting, Dehumanising' Racist Attacks on Defender Danso

Brighton netted a goal right at the end of the match when the 27-year-old Austrian international was shoved aside from the ball, allowing Georginio Rutter to level the score at 2-2.

Still hunting for their initial league victory this year, Tottenham sit in 18th position with just five matches left to play.

"Kevin Danso has faced, and is still facing, substantial and outrageous racist harassment online," Tottenham declared in a release addressing the recent outburst of racism, which sadly persists as a major issue in European football.

"We have encountered and witnessed repulsive, dehumanising racist content. Conduct that is clearly a crime. It absolutely will not be accepted."

Tottenham announced they are forwarding the material to the Metropolitan Police in London, relevant officials, and online platforms. Officers in the UK are adopting a tougher stance on racism convictions, involving detentions and prohibitions, yet they continue to battle against eradicating it fully.

"We intend to demand the most severe measures against every individual we pinpoint," Tottenham further stated.

"Kevin receives our full and unwavering backing both on the pitch and personally. Nobody in this organisation will ever be isolated when confronting such matters.

"No aspect of performance or standings in the table can justify or rationalise racist behaviour."

Danso mentioned he had viewed the remarks aimed at him during a weekend where the Premier League highlighted its "No Room For Racism" campaign.

"Such racist harassment belongs nowhere in this sport or in society. Yet it does not shape who I am, nor will it divert me from my priorities. I understand my identity, my principles, and my reasons for competing," he posted on Instagram.

"The focus now is on remaining concentrated, putting in extra effort, and returning even more resilient for upcoming fixtures."
