Thomas Frank Supports Tottenham's Recovery Against PSG in Paris

Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank believes his squad can regain momentum during Wednesdays tough Champions League trip to Paris Saint Germain following their shocking loss in the recent North London derby.

I reviewed the match and it was poor. It turned out to be a subpar showing Frank stated to journalists in Paris while discussing Sundays 4-1 Premier League defeat at Arsenal.

There was clear determination yet we failed to carry it out and the biggest letdown was our inability to stay in the fight.

Heading into another clash against one of Europes top sides on their turf presents an exciting test we are fully committed to and I am sure we will respond strongly with an improved display.

Tottenham who fell to PSG on spot kicks in the UEFA Super Cup back in August have experienced a mixed beginning to the season yet sit comfortably midway through the group stage of the continents premier club tournament.

The prior years Europa League champions remain undefeated in four matches holding tenth spot in the 36 team table with eight points just one shy of current title holders PSG.

That said their sole triumph in the past five games across all tournaments came from a 4-0 home victory over FC Copenhagen in their previous continental fixture.

They have secured only three wins from eleven outings since late September a streak that includes a loss to Chelsea in the derby and it has increased scrutiny on Frank.

Accepting this position meant facing such hurdles the Danish coach noted aware that implementing his vision will require patience after stepping in for Ange Postecoglou before the current term.

Naturally I would prefer to be here after defeating Arsenal but handling disappointments and advancing is key.

I understand team building and we shall achieve it gaining lessons en route with the main focus being growth from tough periods.

On the other side French forward Randal Kolo Muani loaned from PSG aims to influence the game versus his owning team while pursuing his debut goal for Tottenham.

Kolo Muani was thrilled to sign with us and we welcomed him eagerly but injuries struck including a dead leg and a fractured jaw plus he arrived short of peak condition so he has been playing from behind Frank explained.

Still I am certain we will witness increasing quality from him.
