San Diego Secures 1-0 Win Over Minnesota to Reach MLS Western Final Versus Vancouver

Anders Dreyer netted the decisive goal in the 72nd minute, securing a 1-0 home win for top seeded San Diego FC against Minnesota United on Monday and advancing them in the Major League Soccer playoffs.

The 27 year old Danish international winger fired a fierce left footed strike into the top corner to seal the result.

San Diego now earns a home spot in Saturdays Western Conference final facing the second seeded Vancouver Whitecaps.

The triumphant side will take on the Eastern Conference winner, whether that be Lionel Messis Inter Miami or New York City FC, in the MLS Cup final on December 6.

As a debut expansion side San Diego led the Western Conference throughout the regular season, with Dreyer contributing 22 goals and 16 assists.
