Napoli claim first Serie A home victory since January

Napoli achieved their initial Serie A victory at home since the end of January by beating Torino 2-1 on Friday, strengthening their hold on third position and qualification for the Champions League.

The current title holders triumphed with strikes from Alisson Santos in the opening seven minutes and Eljif Elmas in the 68th minute, prior to Cesare Casadei netting a consolation goal late for Torino.

Napoli are now just one point behind AC Milan in second, with Milan requiring a win over league leaders Inter in Sundays Milan derby to remain in contention for the championship.

Enhancing Napoli's encouraging evening, Kevin De Bruyne entered as a substitute in the second half, marking his return since suffering a hamstring tear in October.
