Man handed suspended jail term for bigoted social media posts targeting Englands Carter

Nigel Dewale posted two messages via his TikTok profile under the name Bogeyman while the competition took place in Switzerland.

He employed abusive terms accusing those with brown skin of being killers and groomers.

Investigators connected the content to Dewale resulting in his detention and prosecution.

Judgment was passed at Blackburn Magistrates Court in north west England imposing a six week custodial sentence held in abeyance for 12 months.

Dewale accepted responsibility during a prior court session for dispatching a highly offensive communication across a public electronic system.

Carter the 28 year old previous Chelsea back who now features for US club Gotham FC joined the Lionesses group that held onto their European Championship victory.
