Brondby goalkeeper Pentz ignites debate with bold assertion ahead of AGF showdown

Patrick Pentz insisted that AGF does not rank as the top side in the Superliga despite holding a five point advantage over FC Midtjylland at the summit. However he chose not to elaborate on his reasoning when approached by Danish journalists in Brondby.

"For me AGF is not the strongest team in the Superliga. That is simply my personal view", Pentz remarked.

"They do not stand as the best. My point is that AGF lacks that status which is why I am eager for us to deliver a strong performance and secure three points against them. The league table tells the truth yet it does not alter the reality that they fall short of being the top team.

"It is straightforward. They do not lead the pack. Their play has not been impressive. That is how I see it. Nonetheless they top the standings and probably merit that position. But to repeat: They are not the leagues finest team", stated Patrick Pentz who declined to name the superior side when asked if AGF was not it.

AGF will host Brondby at Ceres Park Vejlby on Sunday at 18.00 CET
