Tigres Secure Victory in Opening Leg of CONCACAF Champions Cup Semi-Final Against Nashville SC

The two sides will face off once more next Tuesday in Mexico for the return fixture in this two-legged tie, deciding who progresses to the final on May 30.

The opposing semi-final matchup between Los Angeles FC and Toluca from Mexico kicks off on Wednesday.

Following a one-hour postponement at the beginning caused by intense thunder and lightning, Argentine winger Correa netted the sole goal shortly past the 30-minute point with a powerful left-foot shot from beyond the penalty area into the bottom left of the net.

Nashville, topping the MLS Eastern Conference standings, eliminated Lionel Messi's Inter Miami during the last 16 stage and defeated Club America at the Estadio Azteca in the quarter-finals.

Nashville started the MLS campaign with a 7-1-1 record and currently hold a three-point advantage over Messi's team in the Eastern Conference.
