Mykhailo Mudryk from Chelsea to Challenge FA's Four-Year Doping Suspension

The matter originated on December 17th, 2024, with a temporary suspension imposed after a doping control detected the prohibited substance meldonium.

Subsequently, the FA formally accused the athlete on June 18th, 2025. Nearly one and a half years following the initial examination, the ruling came down, imposing the severest penalty on Mudryk, namely a four-year prohibition.

Reports indicate that he intends to contest this verdict at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The 25-year-old has been absent from Chelsea's lineup since November 28th, 2024, his last appearance featuring a goal in a UEFA Europa Conference League fixture just prior to the interim ban.

Chelsea acquired him from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023 for a potential total of £88 million, granting a deal running to 2030 plus an additional year extension possibility.

To date, the west London outfit, the athlete's agents, and the FA have refrained from releasing any formal declarations after the penalty's disclosure.
