History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage
The Guatemala Liga Nacional, better known in Spanish as La Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala, is the top professional football league in Guatemala. The competition was founded in 1919 but only went professional in 1942. The top two ranked teams participate in international club competitions of UNCAF and CONCACAF.
