Luis Enrique Lauds PSG Squad Following 'Sweetest and Hardest' Ligue 1 Triumph

Strikes by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia along with replacement forward Ibrahim Mbaye clinched the victory, ensuring PSG could not be caught by Lens in the battle for the Ligue 1 crown.

'In this match, we focused on defence for longer than we typically do,' remarked Luis Enrique.

'However, to claim silverware, a side must excel in attack and at the back. Our players displayed the required determination to secure success today.'

The Parisians lifted the title with only a single fixture remaining, far narrower than their 2024/25 season dominance where they sealed it six outings earlier.

'It ranks as the most rewarding yet most challenging championship we have captured. Undoubtedly tougher than the previous two campaigns here, largely due to Lens's impressive efforts,' noted the Spanish coach.

'I recall key phases this term, including the fixtures they triumphed in and their streak of successive victories. It proved difficult, and we needed to navigate those challenges.'

PSG will host local rivals Paris FC in their last domestic outing on Sunday, prior to clashing with Arsenal of the Premier League in the Champions League decider towards the end of this month.
