Hammarby win big against suffering Malmo as Hacken down 10-man Mjallby

Hammarby four one Malmo

After some issues earlier in April together with a cup final defeat midweek Hammarby are getting stronger during May. They have won three league games straight with a total score of eight goals to one and five of them netted at 3Arena during round eight.

Nahir Besara claimed three. His day began after Paulos Abraham suffered a foul inside the box from Andrej Djuric giving the Hammarby player an opportunity to blast a penalty down the middle after thirteen minutes and lead the way.

Besara improved his performance close to thirty minutes following a precise pass from Abraham which put him in position inside the box to turn and fire into the bottom corner.

Malmo appeared to recover eight minutes prior to the interval when keeper Warner Hahn could not collect a loose ball at a corner and Kenan Busuladzic pushed it home into the empty goal. Yet the visitors hopes ended just six minutes afterwards as Hampus Skoglund reached the line and delivered for Besara to head in completing his treble easily.

With eighteen minutes remaining Hammarby finished strongly when Besara set up his fourth action of the match by locating Victor Lind who then curled a great fourth into the top corner from the left side.

The team from Stockholm now sit two points behind Sirius despite one extra game played whereas Malmo have dropped to eighth after four losses in five and trail the top by nine points.

Mjallby nil one Hacken

Just behind Hammarby sit Hacken in third position. They stay among the two unbeaten sides in the league after beating Mjallby and ending their five game unbeaten sequence in Allsvenskan.

The title holders enjoy six games without defeat across all competitions after adding the cup trophy yet they could not show similar form here following an early red card decision.

Gustav Lindgren tried to chase a ball through but was fouled by Axel Noren who received a straight red. The hosts held out for thirty minutes of the second half until Julius Lindberg tapped in simply after Jeremy Agbonifo reached the line and provided the pass.

This goal gave Hacken a second straight win and removed their draw specialist label while Mjallby fall to sixth.

Vasteras SK one one AIK

AIK continue to face problems this season after drawing away at promoted Vasteras. Their winless streak now reaches five matches and the hosts ended a two game losing run.

The visitors fell behind near half time in odd circumstances when Ibrahim Cisse mis hit a clearance keeping play alive in the box and the ball reached Marcus Baggesen whose shot deflected off Cisse past Kristoffer Nordfeldt.

Vasteras could not protect the lead to the break and four minutes into added time Aron Csongvai struck a fine free kick from twenty five yards into the net to share the points. AIK are tenth and Vasteras twelfth both with nine points.

Brommapojkarna one nil Kalmar

The recent six games for Brommapojkarna show a loss then a win and this pattern held against Kalmar to reach seventh place while the visitors stay thirteenth following similar mixed results.

The sole goal arrived after twenty five minutes via fine build up on the left as a one two involving Oliver Berg allowed Sion Oppong to shoot and his effort deflected past the keeper.

Kalmar created second half chances to level but missed them and suffer a fifth loss since returning to the top division.
