FC Porto Secure Permanent Transfer for Polish Defender Kiwior from Arsenal After Loan Spell
The Polish player shone brightly during his temporary stay, featuring in 38 matches and accumulating more than 3000 minutes in various competitions.
"FC Porto has activated the buy clause in the loan contract with Arsenal FC, securing full sporting registration rights and complete economic ownership of Jakub Kiwior for a base amount of €17 million, along with potential add-ons up to €5 million depending on specific milestones," the Portuguese club stated.
Kiwior first arrived via a £1.7 million loan arrangement, but he has now committed long-term to Portugal, emerging as a vital part of Porto's championship success, including two assists delivered from the backline.
The club announced that Kiwior has agreed to a deal extending to June 2030, featuring a €70 million buyout provision to protect their commitment.
