Everton boss Moyes eager to assist former side West Ham by defeating Tottenham
Tottenham sit two points clear of 18th placed West Ham heading into the final fixture. The Hammers, with a considerably inferior goal difference, must overcome Leeds United while hoping Everton triumph over Spurs to evade relegation.
A single point against Everton would likely secure Tottenham's top flight status.
"I'd be delighted to help West Ham survive if possible," Moyes stated during Friday's press briefing.
The Scottish manager enjoyed two separate spells totaling five and half years at West Ham between 2017 and 2024, guiding them to UEFA Conference League glory in 2023.
However, the 63 year old emphasised that Everton's league position remains his priority, with a top half finish still achievable.
"Our main focus is securing Everton's highest possible finish for those additional prize funds," he added.
Tottenham have shown resurgence under Roberto de Zerbi, losing just once in their last five outings, whereas Everton arrive winless in six consecutive matches.
