Carrick heaps praise on Anderson who could be Manchester United signing target
United and Forest meet at Old Trafford on Sunday for their second last Premier League fixture.
Anderson aged 23 has been vital for Forest this season with four goals plus two assists across his 36 league outings.
The midfielders strong displays have drawn interest from multiple sides including Manchester United and their rivals Manchester City before the summer window opens.
Carrick spoke to reporters before the match and had kind words for Anderson saying He has done well.
I think he is a major figure in their side as he brings plenty to the table and they possess a very gifted and threatening squad.
They enjoyed a fine campaign reaching the Europa League semi finals only to miss out at the end. Yet it is clear he plays a key role within their group.
Both Carrick and Anderson began their careers at the Wallsend Boys Club on Tyneside.
