Carlo Ancelotti extends Brazil contract through to 2030 World Cup
This announcement arrives one year following the arrival of the ex-Real Madrid manager in Brazil during May 2025, with the 2026 World Cup approaching in under a month.
"One year back, I came to Brazil and understood the significance of football in this nation. Efforts are underway to restore the national side to global prominence, yet the CBF and myself seek even greater achievements.
"We take great pleasure in revealing our continued partnership up to the 2030 World Cup," Ancelotti stated.
To date, Ancelotti has guided the national squad through 10 fixtures, achieving five victories, two stalemates, and three defeats. During his tenure, the side has netted 18 goals while letting in eight.
CBF chief Samir Xaud described the prolongation as a "historic day" and highlighted retaining the technical team as a key strategy for Brazilian footballs advancement.
"This extension marks a further robust advancement in our dedication to equipping the national team with a progressively robust, contemporary, and viable framework. Our focus remains on sustaining Brazil at the pinnacle," the chief remarked.
The updated agreement guarantees Ancelotti a complete term in charge through to the forthcoming World Cup.
