Barcelona reportedly make €100m offer to Atletico Madrid for Julian Alvarez

Barcelona have already reached an agreement for an €80m transfer of Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon, and discussions are ongoing about a permanent move for Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.

LaLiga's 1:1 financial rule has also given Hansi Flick the ability to spend more freely, and Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez is on their radar.

Alvarez has stated his desire to leave Atleti, and according to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have submitted a €100m offer to their local rivals.

Diego Simeone is not under any pressure to sell his talented forward, as he still has four years remaining on his contract, but it seems the Argentine wants to move on.

The 26-year-old was involved in 29 goals in 49 appearances for Simeone's team in the 2025/26 season.
