Arteta encourages Arsenal to leave no regrets in key title clash against Manchester City

Arsenal maintain a six-point advantage prior to their trip to the Etihad Stadium, although they have completed one additional match compared to City.

Arsenal's inconsistent performances following their defeat in the League Cup final against City last month have given Pep Guardiola's team a chance to potentially overtake Arteta's squad once more.

City managed to close the gap on Arsenal to secure the title during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.

"Let us stay true to our style and give it our all, putting every effort onto the field," Arteta remarked.

"Maintain strong faith, show great determination and push forward since we possess the ability to achieve this."

Arsenal have secured only one victory in their past five outings across all tournaments.

Nevertheless, Arteta seeks to highlight the encouraging aspects as they strive to conclude a 22-year absence from lifting the title.

"We find ourselves precisely in the position we desired and numerous beneficial elements have occurred, with nothing to restrain us," the Spaniard continued.

"Facing an adversary that demands your peak performance is rare, and it hardly improves beyond this."

In opposition, City have found their rhythm, achieving solid triumphs over Liverpool and Chelsea after claiming the opening trophy of the campaign at Wembley.

However, Guardiola emphasised his view that City cannot afford any mistakes if he aims to claim a seventh league crown in ten years since joining Manchester.

"Such intensity is essential," Guardiola stated.

"To challenge that side effectively, they must understand that a loss ends our hopes. They are aware, and we discuss it openly."
