Alphonso Davies in race against time to feature for Canada against Qatar
Following a 1-1 draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina in their Group B opener in Toronto, Canada have relocated to Vancouver for their next two fixtures.
Although Davies, 25, participated in some of the warm-up drills for Monday's session, a team official confirmed he is still not fully training ahead of Thursday's encounter with Qatar.
"He (Davies) is one of the finest players in our squad, a world-class talent, so obviously having him in the starting eleven would be fantastic," defender Joel Waterman told journalists.
"We have full faith in the entire squad from one to 26, and whoever steps in to play will do an excellent job."
All four teams in the group are level on one point, having scored one goal and conceded one ahead of the second round of matches on June 18, with Switzerland taking on Bosnia in Los Angeles before Canada's match against Qatar in Vancouver later on Thursday.
