Franculino's injury cost us the Danish title, says Midtjylland sporting director

The top scorer in the Superliga, Franculino, sustained an injury last December and missed much of the spring season. According to FC Midtjylland's sporting director, Kristian Bach Bak, this setback significantly impacted the team's title ambitions. He shared these thoughts in a recent podcast with fan media "Sort Snak".
"This injury was a major setback for everyone involved, especially Franculino himself. While it's unfortunate for him personally, had we had 'Francu' in the same form he showed during most of the autumn, we might well have secured another championship", Bach Bak stated.
FC Midtjylland ended the season as runners-up to AGF in the league but claimed victory in the Danish Cup final against FC Copenhagen.
