Former Arsenal & Wales star Aaron Ramsey announces his retirement

Aaron Ramsey began his professional career with Cardiff City in 2006, later moving to clubs such as Arsenal, Juventus, and Nice. He rejoined Cardiff City for another period between 2023 and 2025.

His last match came with the Mexican club Pumas UNAM, which ended his deal the previous year.

"Reaching this choice was far from simple," Ramsey shared in an official announcement. "Following extensive reflection, I am choosing to step away from the sport."

Over his career, Ramsey earned 86 international appearances for Wales since his first in 2008, netting 21 times.

"Representing Wales has been an honour, filled with countless unforgettable experiences. None of it would have happened without the vital support from every coach I worked with and the team members who assisted me endlessly," he added.
