Eze Celebrates Special Hat-Trick as Arsenal Thrash Tottenham

Eberechi Eze described his hat-trick as a "special" achievement after becoming the first for Arsenal in their dominant 4-1 victory over north London foes Tottenham on Sunday.

The Arsenal forward dismantled Tottenham with three precise strikes following Leandro Trossards initial goal for the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

The 27 year old had experienced a modest beginning at Arsenal since his £60 million ($78 million) transfer from Crystal Palace in August.

However facing the team he turned down to sign with Mikel Artetas squad the England international delivered an outstanding performance that propelled Arsenal six points ahead at the Premier League summit.

"That was a memorable one. A delightful day. Pleased to contribute to the team and secure the win today which felt special" Eze remarked.

"It truly is special. Words fail to capture todays experience."

Once rejected by Arsenal during his youth Eze has risen to prominence through a challenging path now recognised as one of Englands top footballers.

Deeply faithful Eze credited his standout man of the match effort to his religious beliefs.

He had netted just twice in his prior 15 outings for Arsenal yet this exceptional showing highlighted the opportunity Tottenham let slip.

"I asked for it in prayer. This is exactly what I hoped for. I specifically prayed for a hat-trick and I thank God for it" Eze stated.

"That was my request today. God answered and that embodies faith. With my entire family present it made the moment even more meaningful for me."

Eze s excellence provided a significant lift to Arsenals campaign for their first English championship since 2004 following three straight second place finishes.

This marked the initial hat-trick in a north London derby since 1978 and merely the fourth across the fierce derbys extensive history.

When questioned about his favourite among the three goals Eze selected his second a sharp finish mere 35 seconds into the second half.

"They were all impressive. Perhaps the second. That one stood out as my top choice" he commented.

"Each brings satisfaction as Ive focused on the preparation to reach those spots so it all feels rewarding."
