Advocaat sticks with familiar faces for debutants Curacao's 2026 World Cup squad

Boasting a population close to 156000 and spanning merely 171 square miles this Caribbean country emerges as the smallest ever to reach the World Cup finals. They clinched their spot by leading their CONCACAF group following a scoreless draw with Jamaica.

The experienced Dutch manager Dick Advocaat who led the Netherlands in USA 1994 and South Korea in Germany 2006 comes back to guide the side after a short resignation in February.

At 78 years old he is set to be the most aged boss in World Cup records.

The group features ex Manchester United attacker Tahith Chong who currently features for Sheffield United in the Championship.
