West Ham Complete Transfer for Fulham Forward Traore

West Ham revealed on Wednesday that they have completed the signing of forward Adama Traore from Fulham for a fee that remains undisclosed.

The 30 year old forward will reunite with his former manager Nuno Espirito Santo at the London Stadium, having previously teamed up with him during their time at Wolves.

The team fighting at the lower end of the Premier League table praised the player as "strong, quick and able to create and score goals".

Traore has found limited playing time with Fulham over the course of this season. He developed in Barcelona's academy ranks before moving to Aston Villa in 2015, and he has also featured for Middlesbrough and Wolves.

With 262 appearances in the Premier League under his belt, including 14 goals, the forward expressed his desire to contribute as much as possible to West Ham amid their battle against relegation.

"I love the challenges," he commented. "I think, of course, we have to go game by game. And this is what we're going to do, trying to do our best. I think everything comes from belief. And I believe we're going to achieve what we're looking for."

Nuno expressed his enthusiasm about working with Traore once more, noting the player's eight international appearances for Spain.

"Adama is someone who knows the Premier League very well, and his qualities, both as a player and a person, will help us between now and the end of the season," he stated.

"He will give us a different option in attacking areas. He is also motivated to fight for us and ready to bring energy, commitment and determination to our challenge."

Currently sitting third from the foot of the Premier League standings, West Ham trail safety by five points, though they have secured victories in their last two outings against Tottenham and Sunderland.

The side has been busy during the January transfer period in their efforts to avoid the drop, having brought in attackers Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos earlier this month.

The window for transfers in January will shut on Monday.
