'We will not allow agents to dictate our moves' Man United CEO outlines transfer plans

Manchester United, under Michael Carrick, secured a return to the Champions League after finishing third in the 2025-26 Premier League season.

The club's successful summer transfer window in 2025 played a large part in that, with signings such as Matheus Cunha, Byran Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko all making an immediate impact.

Speaking on the club's official Inside Carrington podcast, Berrada confirmed that they intend to follow the same template this time around.

"I believe the template we used last summer will be repeated," he said.

"You always go into a window without knowing how you will come out of it, but you must be thoroughly prepared.

"You need a clear plan, you must know exactly which positions need strengthening, and you also have to be ready for any eventuality.

"There could be exits we do not expect; there could be opportunities in the market that were not available at the start of the window."

"We have to be very disciplined; it is straightforward. We have a plan, we know what we can invest, and we must stick to it.

"In some cases, we might decide to invest knowing it is the right move not just for the next two or three years but for the next decade.

"But clearly, we need to stay very focused on what we aim to achieve. It is crucial that we do not let the market or agents dictate our actions," Berrada added.
