Tottenham keeper Kinsky expresses gratitude for backing after Champions League ordeal

Tottenham's Antonin Kinsky has promised to recover from his ordeal after Igor Tudor substituted him only 17 minutes into his first Champions League appearance against Atletico Madrid.

Temporary Spurs manager Tudor chose the 22-year-old Czech ahead of usual starter Guglielmo Vicario for Tuesdays 5-2 loss in the opening match of their last-16 encounter.

Tudor soon reconsidered when Kinsky mishandled two clearances, allowing Atletico to score via Marcos Llorente and Julian Alvarez during a terrible opening for Spurs.

Between those errors by the keeper, Tottenham's Micky van de Ven lost his footing, presenting Antoine Griezmann with Atleticos second strike.

Thanks for the messages, Kinsky shared on Instagram. From dream to nightmare to dream once more. See you.

Kinsky transferred to Tottenham from Slavia Prague in January of the previous year.

Most of his 13 outings for the team occurred while Vicario was sidelined by injury shortly after arriving in London.

Peter Schmeichels, the Manchester United and Denmark legend, claimed that Tudor had ruined Kinskys career.

However, Spurs defender Kevin Danso supported Kinsky in making a comeback.

Its a tough spot but the squad will rally behind him for sure, Danso remarked.

Stuff like this occurs. Sadly it fell on him this time, yet hes an excellent keeper and will certainly rebound.
