Strasbourg suffer setback as Emmanuel Emegha likely to sit out semi-final against Rayo Vallecano

However, for the Ligue 1 outfit to reverse the scoreline and advance to the final in Germany, they must achieve it without Emegha.

O'Neil announced during his press conference that the 23-year-old has picked up a hamstring injury, which will sideline him for the remaining two league fixtures of the season, along with Strasbourg's return match versus Vallecano.

The ex-Wolves manager provided a slight possibility of recovery for the final, should they qualify, noting there is "maybe a chance" for him to participate. Yet at present, this could mark his last appearance for the team.

Emegha's full transfer to Chelsea on a seven-year deal was announced in September, and the striker has faced a challenging year marred by various injuries.
