Seattle forward Musovski believes North Macedonia poised for major surprise in Copenhagen
Originating from Nevada with Macedonian heritage, Musovski qualifies to play for the North Macedonia national side following his recent acquisition of citizenship, opening the door for an initial selection before the March international fixtures.
The Macedonian manager, Goce Sedloski, promptly added the 30 year old to the roster for the forthcoming clash versus Denmark in the 2026 World Cup qualification playoff semi finals, and the Sounders attacker appears ready to feature for the first time on 26 March at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, supported by his relatives in the audience.
"I am truly thrilled to play for Macedonia. Receiving that invitation during the off season filled me with joy. Playing for any country is a great privilege, and hearing from North Macedonia, particularly with their important fixtures ahead, has me buzzing with anticipation. It is essential to honour the nation, along with your loved ones and personal aspirations," Musovski declares with pride.
Even though the Macedonians enter as outsiders against the strong Danish outfit, optimism runs high, with Musovski expressing assurance about triumphing in Copenhagen initially, followed by naming Ireland as his ideal adversary in the subsequent away decider, scheduled merely days afterwards on 31 March.
"I am certain we will prevail. No dedicated footballer anticipates defeat in a match. We approach Denmark aiming for victory. They possess a solid squad, making it a challenging encounter for sure. Yet Macedonia fields a capable unit too, so with a strong performance, we stand a good chance of advancing and securing World Cup qualification," Musovski affirms.
