Sacked Liverpool boss Slot reportedly turns down Fulham job as other links persist
Slot led Liverpool through a campaign without any silverware, during which the team lost 12 league matches and only just managed to secure a Champions League place, a record that proved insufficient to prevent his dismissal.
The Dutchman was promptly succeeded by Andoni Iraola, the Spaniard who guided Bournemouth through an extraordinary unbeaten run and into the Europa League, marking their first ever appearance in European competition.
Now, according to the Daily Mirror and The Times, Slot has declined the opportunity to take over from Marco Silva at Fulham as he continues to evaluate his alternatives ahead of this summer's World Cup.
He has been consistently linked with the AC Milan job, a club that dismissed manager Max Allegri a week before Liverpool made their own decision.
Dutch football journalist Marcel van der Kraan also commented on talkSPORT regarding Slot's uncertain situation: "Should Ronald Koeman step down after the World Cup, there would be a vacancy with the Dutch national team. I believe Arne Slot is very keen on that role and he is probably the perfect candidate.
"He can implement his Dutch philosophy of football, the passing and attacking style, whatever you wish to call it. I think the Netherlands would be delighted to have him."
Slot secured 66 victories in 113 matches in charge of Liverpool, and he now finds himself in a state of uncertainty ahead of the new season, with a move to Serie A appearing to be the most probable outcome.
