Rosenior of Chelsea discusses tough loss to Manchester United
With significant supporter demonstrations before the match, Chelsea urgently required a victory in their pursuit of a top five position.
A goal from Matheus Cunha in the opening half proved sufficient for Manchester United to claim the points and increase the strain on Rosenior.
Chelsea have now endured four consecutive defeats without finding the net, a sequence not seen since 1998.
"This is incredibly tough. In this game, they managed just one effort on goal when we were reduced to ten players," Rosenior commented.
“We launched repeated assaults and struck the frame of the goal, perhaps four occasions. I refuse to let my squad believe fate is working against them. We must persist in battling.
"Better defence of that key moment is essential. Fail to do so, and punishment follows. Currently, every minor error results in the ball crossing our line, and that pattern needs to end.
"Results are what matter, and we failed to achieve the one deserved here. The little details accumulate, yet we must continue our diligent efforts.
“I apply the greatest pressure on myself. Together with the coaching team and the squad, we need to labour to reverse our fortunes."
