Endrick loaned to Lyon from Real Madrid
Brazilian youngster Endrick, who has fallen out of favour at Real Madrid, has secured a loan move to Lyon, with the Ligue 1 outfit confirming the news on Tuesday.
"Olympique Lyonnais is pleased to announce the arrival of Endrick, set to integrate into the first team starting 29 December," the club stated on their official site.
This transfer occurs roughly six months ahead of the 2026 World Cup kick off, as the 19 year old seeks to earn a position in Carlo Ancelottis Brazil lineup.
Endrick has featured in 14 matches for Brazil, scoring three goals, though his most recent international goal was in June last year, and he has only played once for the national side in 2025.
He made his breakthrough with Palmeiras senior team at age 16, contributing significantly to their consecutive Brazilian league triumphs in 2022 and 2023.
After reaching 18 in July 2024, Endrick transferred to Real Madrid amid great excitement for a fee reportedly around 47.5 million euros ($55.9 million).
Across 40 outings in various competitions for Real Madrid, Endrick has found the net seven times, yet his minutes on the pitch have dwindled this term under manager Xabi Alonso, who took over from Ancelotti at the Bernabeu over the summer.
The versatile left footed forward heads to Lyon on a loan with wages covered until seasons end, including a potential one million euro payment between the teams.
