Real Madrid to open disciplinary proceedings against Valverde and Tchouameni

"Real Madrid C. F. wishes to notify that, in response to the incidents occurring during the first-team session this morning, disciplinary actions will commence against players Valverde and Tchouameni," stated the club from the Spanish capital.

Following the conclusion of internal reviews, any penalties will be disclosed by the club in due course.

The Real Madrid captain and midfielder Valverde received hospital treatment following an altercation with his teammate Tchouameni from France, as covered by various outlets in Spain on Thursday.

Further details on the incident can be found here.

The Uruguayan player, who travelled with coach Alvaro Arbeola from Real Madrid, underwent treatment close to the training facility for stitches due to a facial wound, per reports from Spanish sources.

In an additional update, the club noted: "Following examinations today on Valverde by the Real Madrid medical team, a diagnosis of cranioencephalic trauma has been confirmed.

"Valverde is now resting at home in stable condition and requires 10 to 14 days of recovery, in line with established medical guidelines for this condition."

Reports indicate that the pair, having initially conflicted during Wednesdays training, encountered another dispute on Thursday both in session and afterwards, based on the same information sources.
