RB Salzburg are reportedly hoping to appoint Rangers manager Danny Rohl as their new head coach

Rohl, aged 37, joined Rangers in October last year after Russell Martin's disastrous spell, and managed to make them contenders for the title.

Rangers ultimately finished third in the Scottish Premiership after losing four of their last five matches of the season.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, RB Salzburg are now pushing to make Rohl their new manager and are in discussions with Rangers.

The German has a connection with Red Bull, having previously been part of the coaching team at RB Leipzig, and was a candidate to take over at Salzburg last summer.
