PSG's vital threesome sidelined for weeks

Paris Saint Germain will miss Ousmane Dembele, Achraf Hakimi, and Nuno Mendes for multiple weeks following injuries picked up during Tuesdays Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich.

Ballon dOr recipient Dembele lasted only 25 minutes on the pitch prior to Moroccan talent Hakimi limping off in distress after a tackle from Luis Diaz that resulted in a dismissal for the Bayern Munich attacker.

PSG announced on Wednesday that Dembele suffered a calf issue needing a handful of weeks recovery. The French player was making his second start since a hamstring setback with his national team in early September.

Hakimi dealt with a major twist to his left ankle and could miss several weeks, according to the team. He might struggle to recover in time for Moroccos hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations beginning December 21.

Nuno Mendes completed all 90 minutes in the 2-1 setback versus Bayern yet twisted his left knee and will sit out alongside Dembele and Hakimi.

These missing players worsen PSGs expanding casualty roster, which already features Desire Doue carried away with a thigh injury during last weeks Ligue 1 clash at Lorient.
