PSG defender Hakimi to miss Champions League trip to Bayern with thigh injury
The Moroccan defender Hakimi clutched his right thigh in discomfort during PSGs exhilarating 5-4 victory in Tuesdays opening leg of the tie, where he set up Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the teams fourth goal, and the club confirmed in an official announcement that the 27 year old international faces a few weeks on the sidelines.
Hakimi saw out the full match since PSG had utilised all available substitutions, clinging to their narrow one goal lead heading into Wednesdays return fixture.
Reserve goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, who had not featured for PSG since January, also picked up a thigh problem in Wednesdays morning training drill and will sit out the forthcoming weeks, the European title holders noted.
PSG, currently leading Ligue 1, prepare to welcome Lorient on Saturday prior to their journey to Munich.
