Outstanding Bajraktarevic Guides Title Holders PSV to Easy Victory Against PEC Zwolle

In their initial match following the Eredivisie title win, PSV faced PEC Zwolle with a significantly changed lineup. Youngster Joel van den Berg, aged 19 and playing midfield, earned his first complete start, while Nick Olij debuted competitively in goal for PSV. Couhaib Driouech, Guus Til, and Esmir Bajraktarevic supported Ricardo Pepi upfront, replacing Ivan Perisic, Ismael Saibari, and Dennis Man.

PSV swiftly established dominance by taking the lead early, as Ricardo Pepi headed home a clever delivery from Esmir Bajraktarevic to score in the eighth minute.

The newly titled team maintained a relaxed pace but denied PEC any opportunities to attack effectively. A low shot from Mauro Junior stood as PSVs sole notable attempt in a quiet opening period, which even featured Myron Boadu and Armando Obispo participating in the Mexican wave from the substitutes bench.

PEC mirrored PSVs quick response, equalising within under five minutes of the restart, thanks to a precise long pass from Ryan Thomas to Odysseus Velanas, who relayed it to Thijs Oosting. Although Oosting could not beat Olij, Zico Buurmeester stepped up to smash it through Ryan Flamingos legs into the net.

The effective partnership of Pepi and Bajraktarevic remained unshaken by PECs response, linking up once more to reclaim PSVs advantage shortly after, with Pepi powering in yet another superb cross from Bajraktarevic, this one off the bar and via De Graaff.

PECs strike appeared to energise PSV, with Bajraktarevic and Van den Berg pressuring De Graaff relentlessly, turning the closing stages into a lopsided contest.

Esmir Bajraktarevic kept shining brightly during the night, providing an assist that led PEC defender Simon Graves to deflect the ball into his own goal, securing PSVs triumph with 20 minutes remaining.

Not to be outdone, Bajraktarevic sealed PSVs strong performance with a personal strike, curling the ball into De Graaffs bottom left corner from afar.

PSV dominated the last 20 minutes, increasing their advantage further as Bajraktarevic intercepted among three PEC defenders, paving the way for Couhaib Driouech to score the 5-1 after the Moroccan tapped in Guus Tils lofted pass off the post into an unguarded goal.

Esmir Bajraktarevic filled the scoresheet comprehensively in Eindhoven, finishing a slick sequence started by Driouech with a shot beyond De Graaff, resulting in four goals for PSV in just ten minutes.

PSVs straightforward success propels the Eindhoven club towards a celebratory trip to the Spanish island of Ibiza, where the Eredivisie winners will relax during a brief pause in league action for the Dutch Kings Day holiday.
