No quick fix for Spurs, insists frustrated Frank

Thomas Frank stated there is no simple solution to Tottenham's issues following a disappointing 3-0 Premier League loss to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

A significant error when building from the back was capitalised on by Callum Hudson-Odoi, who then netted with a misjudged delivery as stopper Guglielmo Vicario found himself misplaced.

Ibrahim Sangare added a stunning strike to intensify the away team's misery.

Tottenham seemed to be progressing after a stalemate at Newcastle and victories against Brentford and Slavia Prague.

However the team has secured only one win in their last seven Premier League outings and sits firmly in the middle of the standings.

The ex-Brentford boss is in his debut campaign at the club having replaced the dismissed Ange Postecoglou, whose squad ended the previous term in 17th position.

Questioned post-match on Sunday about whether he would receive the necessary patience to introduce his strategies, Frank responded: "I cannot imagine otherwise. It is clear that without adequate time, no one can reverse this situation. This demands more than a rapid remedy."

He mentioned that despite his calm exterior, a storm rages within him.

"I strive to manage my feelings, which form a tempest inside, naturally, as it is profoundly aggravating that we are underperforming now after three solid showings," he explained.

The Danish coach was candid regarding his team's showing at the City Ground, describing it as a "poor effort".

"Yet I understand that transformation requires effort over time," he noted. "Nobody wishes to accept that. It remains the truth.

"Those who track the club and squad can agree there have been several uneven displays lately, and that is the challenge. We labour diligently."
