Nice in Dire Straits Set to Separate from Manager Haise: Media Claims
Nice, currently facing challenges, has scheduled a media briefing for early Monday, coinciding with numerous reports in French outlets suggesting that manager Franck Haise will soon depart.
When approached by AFP on Sunday night, the club, now sitting at 13th in Ligue 1 standings, confirmed the event at their training facility but offered no additional information.
According to French press sources, Haise has consented to his exit.
Under his guidance, the side recently overcame second-tier Saint-Etienne in the French Cup, halting an unprecedented run of nine consecutive defeats.
This announcement arrives just shy of ten days following the reinstatement of ex-manager and former president Jean-Pierre Rivere, who has taken over from Fabrice Bocquet as the organisations chief executive.
The outfit is under the ownership of INEOS, the enterprise belonging to British businessman Jim Ratcliffe, holder of a 25 per cent share in Manchester United.
Back in November, the playing staff, employees, and leadership encountered around 200 supporters protesting outside the training ground after the teams 3-1 defeat away to Lorient.
Resuming after a short mid-season pause, Nice will host Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on 3 January.
