Dutch star Gakpo said to be willing to exit Liverpool amid interest from competitors
A number of players have announced their exits from Anfield, most prominently Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah, with others expected to follow.
Cody Gakpo is one individual facing potential departure following a lacklustre season last term. The 27-year-old netted merely seven Premier League goals as Liverpool ended in fifth place.
Recognised for exasperating supporters with his profligate finishing, Gakpo's exit from Merseyside is very feasible once the transfer window commences, and he has no shortage of admirers.
Newcastle United, Bayern Munich and Tottenham have all expressed interest in the adaptable Dutchman, who could attract a significant transfer fee as he still has four years remaining on his contract.
Crucially, however, Soccer News reports that Gakpo is "open to a summer move," potentially paving the way for the winger to leave the club this summer.
Gakpo is currently getting ready for the Netherlands World Cup campaign, where he is expected to have a key role, beginning with a match against Japan on Sunday.
However, whilst the World Cup takes precedence, the Liverpool forward will also be keeping an eye on his club future ahead of the 2026/27 season.
