Monaco sack coach Hutter, line up Pocognoli: sources
According to reports, Monaco has dismissed Austrian manager Adi Hutter and is preparing to appoint Belgian Sebastien Pocognoli as his successor.
Christian Peintinger and Klaus Schmidt, assistants to the 55-year-old Hutter, will also be leaving the club.
The three individuals, appointed by the club more than two years ago, informed the squad of their exits following Thursday's training session.
Currently positioned fifth in Ligue 1, Monaco has secured four victories and one draw from their initial seven fixtures, trailing league leaders Paris Saint-Germain by three points.
In the Champions League, the team suffered a defeat in their first game against Club Brugge, though they managed to secure a 2-2 draw with Manchester City in their most recent encounter.
It is reported that the club made unsuccessful attempts to negotiate with Edin Terzic, the 42-year-old German manager who formerly led Borussia Dortmund.
Instead, they are reportedly looking towards Sebastien Pocognoli, 38, the Union Saint-Gilloise manager and ex-Belgian international, who in his sole campaign as a senior head coach last year guided the team to a league championship for the first time in 90 years.
