Midtjylland stumble once more in Danish title chase after scoreless stalemate in Farum

AGF hold the advantage in securing the Danish championship following FC Midtjyllands Sunday goalless draw away at Farum.

If AGF secure victory in their road game versus Brondby kicking off at 18.00 CET later that day they would lift their first Danish crown in four decades.

FC Midtjylland needed a victory to maintain the heat on AGF yet could not overcome a resilient FC Nordsjaelland defence.

The away team faced intense pressure during the opening period with the hosts controlling the ball and generating several opportunities.

The second period featured a freer flow of attacks with both sides producing ample scoring threats.

Juho Läh teenmäki missed a sitter as the ball bounced kindly to him inside the area following some deflections but he could not make clean contact.

In a chaotic closing phase Junior Brumado wasted a prime breakaway opportunity after 75 minutes when his attempt struck the woodwork.

Neither outfit managed to find a breakthrough leaving the game to conclude without goals in Farum a result that sees FC Midtjylland extend their poor record there having not triumphed in five years.
